Hey! I’m Joe, a product designer from Ottawa, On.

I’ve worked in the UX design space for 4+ years. Using the design thinking methodologies, I’ve led and facilitate design projects from start to finish. Whether it be a complex project with lots of moving pieces or a quick project with fast deliverables, I always produce high quality results.

Design is one of my greatest passions, but not the only one. When I’m not designing, I’m out taking photos, mainly shooting analog film. These two passions are driven by my curiosity to understand others and express my creativity in a tangible way.

My goal as a designer is to create products which enhance people's day-to-day life by solving problems and creating engaging experiences.

Methodology

  • Conduct research by interviewing users, analyzing data, reviewing design literature and reviewing competitors to gain a better understanding of user needs.

  • Combine and analyze research, identifying pain-points and discovering opportunities.

  • Generate a range of creative and innovative ideas. Solving both user and business problems.

  • Sketch ideas and design fully interactive prototypes.

  • Return to our users, learning if pain points are solved and experiencing are easy and delightful.

  • Collaborate with business and product teams to put the vision into effect.
